County Road 504 Construction
The County of Peterborough will be conducting construction to facilitate the installation of steel beam guiderail on County Road 504, also known as Highway 504, starting November 27, 2023, with an estimated completion date of December 8, 2023.
Throughout the duration of construction, residents can expect daily lane restrictions starting from 846 County Road 504 to Whitmore Road.

"CHUCK IT IN THE BUCKET" Christmas food drive
The Township of North Kawartha Roads Department is looking for your support with their annual "CHUCK IT IN THE BUCKET" Christmas food drive to help support the North Kawartha Food Bank.
The Township front-end loader will be collecting donations at two locations, over two different nights from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

2023 North Kawartha Fire and Rescue Annual Christmas Toy Drive
November 14 to December 15, 2023
Toys are needed for children in-need within the Municipality of North Kawartha for children ages 16 years old and under. All toys received will be distributed throughout the Township of North Kawartha.

Total Firework and Fire Ban has been lifted.
As of 4:00 p.m. on July 11, 2023 the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry (MNRF) has lifted their Restricted Fire Zone for the entire Province of Ontario. Therefore, the Total Firework and Fire Ban current in effect within the Township of North Kawartha has been lifted.
All open air burning is permitted/allowed with a valid burn permit. Day burning is not permitted.
