The Crowe Valley Conservation Authority is issuing the following Flood Outlook Statement effective immediately, 5 January 2023 and will be updated as required.
FLOOD OUTLOOK STATEMENTWater levels and flows continue to rise due to recent significant rainfall amounts and snow melt in the past 24 hours and have the potential for flooding risks. Declaration of a Significant Event Lifted, December 26, 2022, 4:30 p.m.
The Township of North Kawartha has lifted the declaration of a Significant Weather Event, following that the extended Winter storm has subsided.
The declaration is lifted as per Ontario Regulation 239/02, the Minimum Maintenance Standards.
The minimum Maintenance Standards timelines will now be in effect.

The Municipal Office will be closed to the public on Friday, December 23, 2022, due to the winter storm warning issued by Environment Canada.
The NKCC will operate on Friday, December 23, 2022, with weekend hours in effect from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Residents should avoid unnecessary travel and be prepared for Hydro outages.
