Holiday Office Closure Notice

The Municipal office will be closed from 4:30 p.m., Monday, December 23rd, 2019 up to and including Wednesday, January 1st, 2020

We will re-open at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 2nd, 2020

Curbside Garbage:

  • Curbside Garbage on Boxing Day, Thursday, December 26th, 2019 will be collected on Friday December 27th, 2019
  • Curbside Garbage for Thursday January 2nd , 2020 will be collected on Friday January 3rd , 2020

Have a Holly Jolly Christmas Tree Day

Tomorrow is Christmas Tree Day in Ontario. Celebrate by visiting a local Christmas Tree Farm and choose a spruce, pine or fir to bring home this holiday season.

Our province is home to 530 Christmas tree farms that generate more than $12 million in sales per year. For every Christmas tree harvested in the province, there are ten more growing, making Ontario-grown Christmas trees a sustainable agricultural crop.

Please help us "Cram-A-Cruiser" full of non-perishable food on Saturday, Decmeber 14, 2019 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at Sayers Foodtown (132 Burleigh Street) in Apsley.

All donations will benefit the North Kawartha Food Bank.

Presented by the North Kawartha Fire Department, Peterborough O.P.P. and Sayers Foodtown.

Winter Sand

Sand is Available for Residents of North Kawartha Township

In an effort to assist with residents’ concerns regarding winter ice on their private driveways and paths sand is available at our Roads Department located at 10230 Highway 28 in Apsley. 

Municipal staff have made a sand pile located outside the storage dome. 

Salt is not available to the public.

Please bring a shovel and storage container when you visit.

No commercial businesses or contractors please.

Stay safe, stay visible! Please keep your lights on while collecting sand and yield to Township...
