Although the CVCA watershed has stabilized from rainfall and snowmelt earlier this week, the predicted rainfall of 30 to 40mm starting Friday and continuing to Saturday morning will reverse any declining trends experienced in the last 24 hour period for all lakes, rivers and streams. The Crowe Valley Conservation Authority is issuing the following FLOOD WATCH effective immediately, 17 April 2019.
Predicted rainfall in the next 72 hour period, coupled with a saturated watershed and a rapidly melting snowpack in the northern reaches of the Crowe Valley watershed has resulted in conditions that warrant the issuance of a FLOOD WATCH for the entire watershed. Low-Cost Rabies Clinic will be held on Saturday, May 4 at the North Kawartha Community Centre.
Peterborough Public Health is teaming up with local veterinarians again this year to help combat rabies.
