Posted On Monday April 19, 2021

April 15, 2021
Please be advised that County Road (CR) 504, from CR 620 to Glen Alda Road, will remain closed to all through traffic until December 2021. Access for local traffic on CR 504 will be maintained.
The purpose of the closure is to permit the continued investigation into the condition of the Crowe River Bridge. The Crowe River Bridge is located on CR 504 within the Township of North Kawartha approximately 2.0 km south of CR 620 (Glen Alda) and approximately 0.2 km north of Glen Alda Road.
An alternative detour route during this road closure will be signed in the field as shown below.

The County of Peterborough completely understands the impact that this closure has had on residents. The Crowe River Bridge closure situation involves many parties and the County has been working with such parties to assess the issues associated with the bridge. We understand the importance of getting a bridge in place and open to traffic. However, resolving this complex issue takes time. We are hopeful that we will have a clearer understanding of next steps and the timelines within the next few weeks. As soon as the County has a path forward we are committed to keeping you updated.
We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your patience.
