Getting Here

The Township of North Kawartha begins at Burleigh Falls in the south, and ends in the north at Silent Lake Provincial Park, about 20 km south of Bancroft. To the northeast, the Township stretches to Glen Alda, and to the west it encompasses much of the Kawartha Highlands Signature Site Provincial Park.

How to get to the Township of North Kawartha from the Greater Toronto Area:

  1. Highway ON-401 E to ON-35/ON-115 N, Exit 436 (toward Lindsay/Peterborough)
  2. Use the two right lanes to merge onto ON-35/ON-115 N. Continue 57.1 km to the end. 
  3. Slight right onto Trans-Canada Hwy/ON-7 (signs for Ottawa). Continue 7.3 km.
  4. Turn left onto ON-28 N. The Township of North Kawartha begins about 30 km north.

The main highway through the Township is Highway 28 (ON-28 N). County Roads 504 and 620 run through the Township as well.
