Since its Grand Opening on October 23, 2010, the NKCC has been a hub of community activity. As such, it is open 7 days a week, year-round, closing only on Christmas Day, New Year's Day, and Easter Monday.

• Home of the North Kawartha Knights, Junior C hockey team
