During the Summer and Fall months the Township of North Kawartha hosts Special Clean-Up Days at the Anstruther Transfer Station; the final ones for this year are the Fall 2023 Clean-Up Days on Sunday, October 8th and Thanksgiving Monday, October 9th, from 10 am to 4 pm both days.    

At this event the Anstruther Transfer Station will accept items such as mattresses, couches/sectionals, and single chair/recliners (tipping fees will apply to these items).

The County of  Peterborough's Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Depot at the Anstruther Transfer Station will be closed by the time of this event. The Depot runs on Sundays from 12 pm to 5 pm and Wednesdays from 10 am to 1 pm, beginning June 4th and ending September 20th. Please note: on Wednesday, September 20th (only) the HHW hours are 9 am to 12 pm.
