The Municipal office will be closed on Monday, October 14, 2024, for Thanksgiving Monday and will re-open on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, at 9:00 am with normal business hours.

Parks & Recreation 

The North Kawartha Community and Fitness Centre will be open from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm on October 14, 2024, for Thanksgiving Monday.

Garbage & Recycling 

The Haultain and Anstruther Transfer Stations will be open on Monday, October 14, 2024, with Sunday winter schedule hours from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.  

Curbside Garbage and Recycling collection will operate as normal on October 14, 2024, for Thanksgiving Monday. Please have your material out at the curbside by 7:00 am.

For missed curbside garbage collection, please call Waste Connections at 705-742-4268.

For missed curbside recycling collection, please call Emterra at 1-888-597-1541

North Kawartha Comprehensive Zoning By-law Survey

The Township of North Kawartha is beginning to develop a new zoning by-law to guide development of property within the community.

A comprehensive Zoning By-law Advisory Committee has been formed to identify issues with the current zoning by-law and to develop options for addressing these issues. The committee aims to guide staff in developing a new zooming by-law which is comprehensive yet user friendly. As part of this process, the committee wants to hear from you!

Please take a moment to complete the committee’s survey about the current zoning by-law and how the zoning by-law could be improved by Tuesday, October 16, 2024.
