Road Closure Notice: Glen Alda Road
The Township of North Kawartha advises residents and visitors that temporary road closures will occur along Glen Alda Road to allow for continued culvert repairs.
Dates: October 5 to October 9, 2026
Location: Various locations along Glen Alda Road between Winters Bay and County Road 620
Work: Continued culvert repairs and replacements
As the road construction progresses, closure locations will move to different areas of the roadway. While local traffic access will be maintained whenever possible, short-term closures may be necessary at active work sites.
Emergency vehicle access will be maintained at all times.
Please plan ahead, allow extra travel time, and use caution when approaching work zones, Township staff, contractors, and equipment.

Municipal and School Board Elections in Ontario are held every four (4) years on the fourth Monday of October.
In the 2026 municipal and school board elections for the Township of North Kawartha eligible electors will vote electronically using the internet or telephone.
The last Municipal and School Board Election was held on October 26, 2022 to elect the Mayor, Council Members and School Board Trustees. Under the Municipal Elections Act, the four-year term of office for the current Council and School Board Trustees is 2022 – 2026.
