Public Notice: Reduced Load Restrictions in Effect Starting March 10, 2025

Starting March 10, 2025, reduced load restrictions will be in effect for all Township of North Kawartha roads.

Reduced load restrictions are applied each spring during the thaw when the road network is most vulnerable to help prevent permanent damages to pavement and surface treated roads.

While in the reduced load restrictions are in place, vehicles are restricted to load limits of 5 tonnes per axle.

Public Notice: Road Reduced Load Restrictions lifted on May 1, 2025

April 30, 2025

Effective Thursday, May 1, 2025, reduced load restrictions will be lifted for all Township of North Kawartha roads.

The County of Peterborough lifted their reduced load restrictions on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, for all County roads.

We appreciate everyone’s cooperation during this important seasonal measure and thank you for your continued efforts in helping protect North Kawartha’s roads during their most vulnerable time of year.
