  • Help Shape the Future of Transit in North Kawartha and Peterborough County

The Township of North Kawartha, in collaboration with Peterborough County and Community Care, is undertaking a study to explore potential public transit options across the region.

The study aims to better understand how transit services could connect local communities and support residents in accessing key destinations, services, and activities. Input from the public will play an important role in identifying current transportation needs and shaping possible transit solutions.

North Kawartha residents, are invited to complete an online survey, available until July 10, 2026: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/RBFYDLC

Feedback is encouraged from both permanent and seasonal residents, as the study seeks to reflect the diverse transportation needs across the Township and surrounding areas.

Public input gathered through this process will help guide future decisions regarding transit services in North Kawartha and across Peterborough County

  • North Kawartha Electric Vehicle (EV) Charger Survey – Share Your Input!

The Township is exploring options for public electric vehicle (EV) charging stations to support residents, seasonal property owners, visitors, and local businesses. Your feedback will help us determine:

    • Where stations should be located
    •  What type of chargers are most needed
    •  How often they would be used
    •  How EV charging could support local businesses and tourism
    • Whether you own an EV or not, your input matters!

The survey takes about 5 minutes and will help guide North Kawartha Council’s decisions on future EV infrastructure, partnerships, and funding opportunities.
