The Township of North Kawartha Emergency Services Department invites residents and visitors to enjoy a spooktacular adventure at their Halloween Haunted Maze on Saturday, October 31, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
The event will take place at North Kawartha Fire Station #1, located at 66 Northey's Bay Road, Woodview. Admission is free and all are welcome to attend.
Children will receive peanut-free treats, generously provided by North Kawartha firefighters.
Parking will be available at the Wilson Park Community Centre. Visitors are reminded to keep the Fire Station driveway clear at all times to ensure emergency vehicles can access the station if required.
Bring your family, wear your favourite costume, and join us for an evening of Halloween fun and community spirit.

The Township of North Kawartha is pleased to advise that the unofficial results for the 2026 Municipal and School Board Election are now available.
Electors may view the unofficial election results on the Township website at www.northkawartha.ca/election
The unofficial results are provided for information purposes only and remain subject to final verification and certification.
Official election results will be announced and posted on Tuesday, October 27, 2026.
The Township would like to thank all eligible electors who participated in the election.
Today, Monday, October 26, 2026, is Election Day in North Kawartha and your final opportunity to cast your ballot in the 2026 Municipal Election.
Voting is available until 8:00 p.m. and electors may cast their ballot using any of the following methods:
Voter Help Centre
The Voter Help Centre at the North Kawartha Municipal Office is open today from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. to assist electors with voting-related questions, voter information updates, replacement Voter Information Letters, and access to voting kiosks.
Voting in the Township of North Kawartha is now open as of 10:00 a.m. today, October 13, 2026, and will remain open until 8:00 p.m. on Election Day, Monday, October 26, 2026.

Compass Early Learning and Care Bringing New Outdoor-Focused Child Care Program to Apsley
APSLEY, ONTARIO — Compass Early Learning and Care is excited to announce the upcoming Compass Early Learning and Care – Apsley Outdoor program, a new early learning and care program in the heart of Apsley, Ontario.
The Township of North Kawartha has mailed Voter Information Letters to all registered voters for the 2026 Municipal Election.
Most voters can expect to receive their letter during the week of October 5, 2026. If you have not received your Voter Information Letter by October 9, 2026, please contact the Township at 705-656-5189 or voterhelp@northkawartha.ca.
Voting Period
Voting opens at 10:00 a.m. on October 13, 2026, and remains open until 8:00 p.m. on Election Day, October 26, 2026.
Internet and telephone voting are available throughout the voting period, allowing voters to cast their ballot at a time that is convenient for them.
How to Vote
The Township of North Kawartha offers two methods of voting:

Residents who require access to a computer, internet connection, or telephone for voting may visit the Municipal Office located at:

Voting kiosks will be available during regular business hours throughout the voting period. On Election Day, October 26, 2026, voting kiosks will be available until 8:00 p.m.
Accessibility Support
Municipal staff are available to provide accessibility assistance to voters. If you require accessibility support, please identify your needs to staff upon arrival.
Keep Your Voter Information Letter
Voters are encouraged to keep their Voter Information Letter in a safe place. The letter contains the information required to access the Internet and Telephone Voting system.
