Curbside Garbage Collection Delay for Monday, August 10, 2026
Service Disruption Notice
The Township of North Kawartha would like to advise residents that curbside garbage collection scheduled for Monday, August 10, 2026, was not completed on the following roads due to an unforeseen equipment issue experienced by Waste Connections Canada.
Waste Connections Canada has advised that collection of the missed garbage on the roads listed below will take place tomorrow, Tuesday, August 11, 2026.
Residents are asked to bring any uncollected garbage back from the curb this evening and place it out again by 7:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 11, 2026.
Haultain Road Closure Notice

The Township of North Kawartha would like to advise residents and visitors that Haultain Road will be closed to all traffic on:
Date: Tuesday, August 11, 2026
Time: 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Location: West of 180 Haultain Road
Reason: Culvert Replacement
The temporary road closure is required to allow for the safe replacement of a culvert.
Properties east of 180 Haultain Road will remain accessible from Highway 28 during the closure. Residents requiring special access considerations are asked to contact the Public Works Department. Emergency vehicle access will remain open at all times.
Please drive with caution when approaching Township staff or equipment.

Reason: Tree Removal Operations
The temporary road closure is required to allow for the safe removal of trees within the road allowance. Emergency vehicle access will remain open at all times.

The Haultain and Anstruther Transfer Stations will be open on Monday, August 3, 2026, with Sunday hours of 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., per the summer schedule.
Curbside Garbage and Recycling collection on Monday, August 3, 2026, will operate as normal, with no scheduled changes. Please have your material out at the curbside by 7:00 a.m.
