Notice of upcoming micro surface treatment

The Township of North Kawartha Public Works Department would like to advise residents and motorists that micro surface treatment will be completed on Oakridge Drive, Tucker Street, and Tucker Street North during the month of August 2025.  

As part of this road construction project, the work will include both crack sealing and the application of micro surface treatment. Micro surfacing is a fast-setting system that allows traffic to resume shortly after application, usually within a few hours, resulting in minimal disruption to residents and motorists.

Minor traffic delays are anticipated, and lane restrictions will be in effect throughout the duration of the construction. Should full road closures be required, advance notice will be provided. Emergency vehicle access will be maintained at all times.

We kindly ask that all drivers proceed with caution when approaching Township staff, contractors, or equipment on the roadway.
