Please be advised that a temporary road closure will be in effect on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, starting at 4:00 p.m. for the Apsley and District Lions Club Canada Day Parade.
The parade will begin at the Apsley Public School, proceed along Burleigh Street to Wellington Street (County Road 504), continue onto Jack Lake Road, and conclude at Lions Park through McFadden Road. Roads along the parade route will be temporarily closed to all vehicular traffic during this time to ensure the safety of participants and spectators.
Following the parade, festivities will continue at Lions Park until 6:00 p.m., featuring games, activities, and the popular Lions food booth, a wonderful way to come together and celebrate Canada Day as a community.
The Township of North Kawartha thanks all residents and visitors for their cooperation and encourages everyone to come out, show your Canadian pride, and support the Apsley and District Lions Club’s Canada Day celebration.
