Request for Proposals

A request for proposal is a bid submitted to the Township through a formal, public invitation to suppliers to provide goods or services where it is not practical to prepare precise specifications, or where "alternatives" to specifications will be considered. The RFP process allows suppliers to propose solutions to arrive at the end product, and allows for evaluation on criteria other than price to ensure that competition for the use of public money is open, fair and free from any parties having an unfair advantage of separate, prior, closed-door negotiations for the contract.

Construction Services for North Kawartha Health Centre - RFP-05-20 (Revised, extending dates)

1.  Proposal Opening Date / Time (Part B, 2.) – The Proposal Opening will occur
on Friday, November 27, 2020 at 12:15 p.m. . The proposals will be opened in the Council Chambers at 280 Burleigh St., Apsley ON. You may attend the opening, following social distancing rules and wearing a mask or via a Zoom meeting, please contact Kelly Picken, Deputy Clerk at k.picken@northkawartha.ca to request an invitation to the Zoom meeting.

 

The Township of North Kawartha wishes to acquire the services of a contractor with expertise to complete renovations to the North Kawartha Health Centre.

Quotations

A quotation is a bid submitted to the Township, by suppliers, in response to a request for quotation on a specific product or service.

Request for Quotation: 

The Township of North Kawartha is seeking quotes for the replacement of the roof on the change rooms at the Chandos Lake Beach. The Scope of work and drawings by Jim Thomson dated September 30, 2020 are included for review. The existing structure can be viewed at any time without an appointment.

The quote shall include:

  • Supply and install all materials
  • Repair/replace blocks as necessary
  • Frame roof
  • Dark brown steel roofing, snow stop, soffit fascia, eavestrough and downspouts.

Note: The successful candidate will be responsible for all permits; the building permit fee is $150.00.

Quotations, will be received by the undersigned by personal delivery, mail, fax or email no later than Wednesday November 25, 2020 at 4:00 p.m.

The Council of North Kawartha will award the contract on Tuesday December 1, 2020.
