North Kawartha Electric Vehicle (EV) Charger Survey – Share Your Input!
The Township of North Kawartha is exploring options for publicly accessible electric vehicle (EV) charging stations to support residents, seasonal property owners, visitors, and local businesses. With the number of electric vehicles increasing across Ontario, access to reliable and well-located charging infrastructure is becoming increasingly important, especially in rural and seasonal communities like North Kawartha.
We Want Your Feedback
- Your input will help the Township understand:
- Where charging stations should be located
- What type of charging is most needed
- How often chargers would be used
- How EV charging could support local economic development and tourism
Why Your Input Matters
Feedback from the community will ensure any future EV charging investments:
- Reflect local needs
- Support businesses and tourism
- Remain financially responsible for the Township
How Feedback Will Be Used
Survey results will be summarized in a report to Council and will guide decisions regarding:
- Potential locations for public EV charging stations
- Level 2 vs. DC Fast Charging infrastructure
- Future funding opportunities, including provincial and federal grants
- Partnerships with local businesses and community facilities
All responses will be used strictly for municipal planning purposes.
