Notice: Winter Sand/Salt Mix Now Available for Residents

To help residents manage icy conditions on private driveways and walkways, the Township of North Kawartha is once again offering free winter sand/salt mix at the following locations:

• North Kawartha Public Works Garage – 10230 Highway 28, Apsley
• Wilson Park Community Centre – 66 Northey’s Bay Road, Woodview
• Glen Alda Community Centre – 3723 Highway 620, Apsley

Piles are available directly in the parking lots at each site for easy access.
Please bring your own shovel and container.

Important Reminder:
At the Public Works Garage, do NOT enter the sand dome under any circumstances. The sand/salt mix for public use is located on the right-hand side when you enter the yard. 

When visiting the locations, please keep your lights on, remain cautious, and yield to Township staff working in the area.

This service is for North Kawartha residents only. We kindly ask that commercial businesses and contractors refrain from collecting materials.
