Compass Early Learning and Care Announces New Apsley Outdoor Program

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Compass Early Learning and Care Bringing New Outdoor-Focused Child Care Program to Apsley

APSLEY, ONTARIO — Compass Early Learning and Care is excited to announce the upcoming Compass Early Learning and Care – Apsley Outdoor program, a new early learning and care program in the heart of Apsley, Ontario.

Designed to inspire curiosity, exploration and connection with the natural environment, the new Compass Early Learning and Care Apsley Outdoor program will offer an outdoor-focused approach to early learning and care, with opportunities for children to engage both indoors and outdoors.

This initiative is being made possible by a generous donation from a Jack Lake community member, and funding from federal, provincial and municipal governments as part of the Canada Wide Early Learning & Child Care plan. In a statement by Compass ELC co-CEO, Ashley Collins said “What has been most inspiring is seeing people come together around a shared belief of what children and families deserve; access to high-quality affordable child care right in the community where they live. From the generosity of a community member, the leadership from North Kawartha, and the support from all levels of government, this project has been a powerful reminder of what’s possible when we all work together.”

“The City of Peterborough is pleased to support the Compass Early Learning and Care Apsley Outdoor program. This new program will provide families with more local child care options while offering children opportunities to learn, explore and connect with the natural environment. It is wonderful to see community partners and all levels of government working together to support children and families in Apsley.” said Cindy Worth, Manager of Children’s Services with the City of Peterborough.
