2025/26 Holiday Season Municipal Closures and Hours

The Municipal office will close for the holidays from Wednesday, December 24, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. and will reopen on Monday, January 5, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. with normal business hours. 

Parks and Recreation

The North Kawartha Community and Fitness Centre will operate over the holiday season with the following changes:

• Wednesday, December 24, 2025: Closed at 1:00 p.m.
• Thursday, December 25, 2025: Closed
• Friday, December 26, 2025: Closed.
• Wednesday, December 31, 2025: Closed at 1:00 p.m.
• Thursday, January 1, 2026: Closed

Transfer stations

The Haultain and Anstruther Transfer Stations will be closed on Thursday, December 25, 2025, for Christmas Day and Thursday, January 1, 2026, for New Years Day. The Transfer Stations will be open with regular winter hours throughout the holiday season.

Curbside Garbage and Recycling Collection 

Curbside collection for Garbage and Recycling will operate as follows over the 2025/26 holiday season: 

• Monday, December 22, 2025:
  • Garbage and Recycling - Normal curbside collection (No scheduled changes) 
• Thursday, December 25, 2025 (Christmas Day):
  • Garbage - Collection moved to Friday, December 26, 2025
  • Recycling - Collection moved to Saturday, December 27, 2025
• Monday, December 29, 2025:
  • Garbage and Recycling - Normal curbside collection (No scheduled changes)
• Thursday, January 1, 2026 (New Year’s Day):
  • Garbage - Collection moved to Friday, January 2, 2026
  • Recycling - Collection moved to Saturday, January 3, 2026
