Public Notice - Declaration of a Significant Weather Event Lifted

The Township of North Kawartha has lifted the declaration of a Significant Weather Event, which was declared on Sunday, December 28, 2025, in accordance with Ontario Regulation 239/02, Minimum Maintenance Standards.

With the lifting of this declaration, the Township’s minimum maintenance standards timelines have been restored. Township staff will continue to monitor weather conditions and forecasts and will respond as required to maintain safe and accessible municipal roads.

The Township of North Kawartha extends its sincere appreciation to the Public Works Department for their dedication and efforts throughout the Significant Weather Event.
