Public Notice from Public Health Ontario

Safe Drinking Water Sample Drop-Off Service Disruption

The Township of North Kawartha has been advised by Public Health Ontario of a temporary disruption to the private citizen safe drinking water sample drop-off program.

Due to the laboratory closure in observance of Canada Day on Wednesday, July 1, 2026,  water samples will not be accepted at the Township of North Kawartha Municipal Office on Tuesday, June 30, 2026. Residents are encouraged to plan accordingly and avoid collecting samples during this time.

This program is administered by Lakelands Public Health, and regular service is expected to resume following the holiday.

Residents with questions or concerns about their water quality are encouraged to contact Lakelands Public Health directly at www.lakelandsph.ca  or https://www.northkawartha.ca/news/posts/public-notice-from-lakelands-public-health/

The Township appreciates your understanding and cooperation and wishes everyone a safe and happy Canada Day.
