Road Reopening Notice – Mill Lake Road and Haultain Road

The Township of North Kawartha advises that Mill Lake Road and Haultain Road are now open following receding water levels.

Some low-lying areas of Haultain Road remain flooded. Motorists are advised to follow posted signage and proceed with caution when travelling through affected sections.

Public Works staff will continue to monitor road conditions.

Flood Warning - April 14, 2026

Heavy rainfall and continued snowmelt may cause flooding.

If flooding poses a threat to person or property call 9-1-1.

Report an issue to the Township if flood waters are in close proximity your structures.

Sand and sandbags are available to the public just inside the sand dome located at the Township of North Kawartha Roads Garage at 10230 Highway 28, Apsley. Bring a shovel.

Please monitor the local weather and flood forecasts.

The Municipal Property Assessment Corporation (MPAC) remains responsible for collecting information about school support. To update your school support information, visit MPAC’s online School Support tool.

Road Reopening Notice – Mill Lake Road and Haultain Road

The Township of North Kawartha is advising residents that Mill Lake Road and Haultain Road are now open following receding water levels.

While both roads have reopened, some low-lying areas of Haultain Road remain impacted by water. Motorists are advised to pay close attention to posted signage and proceed with caution when travelling through affected sections.

Public Works staff will continue to monitor conditions to ensure the safety of the road network.

Residents are encouraged to report concerns related to Township roads or flooding near structures using the online Citizen Request "Report an Issue" portal:
